On Saturday, November 8th at 9:00 PM, Teatro Niccolini presents Heic Artemisia, a new creation by Angelo Manzotti dedicated to Artemisia Gentileschi: a woman, an artist, a voice that transcends centuries.

On stage, music and theatre intertwine in an intimate and powerful semi-staged performance.
Daniela Felzani portrays Artemisia, joined by Ensemble Vago Concento conducted by Marcello Rossi Corradini, performing works by Purcell, Haendel, Vivaldi, Pergolesi and Marcello.

A journey that moves from pain to art: from the authentic words of her trial for rape to the freedom of artistic creation, culminating in her recognition as the first woman ever admitted to Florence’s Accademia delle Arti del Disegno.
