Jeff Goldblum’s legendary career now spans six decades of acclaimed work as a leading actor in film, television and theatre. A talented jazz pianist, Goldblum founded the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra 30 years ago. Since then, he and his band have delighted audiences across the United States and around the world, performing contemporary arrangements of jazz classics and standards from the American songbook.
The group has released several albums and singles, all on Decca Records, and has collaborated with an outstanding line-up of guest artists including Gregory Porter, Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, Fiona Apple, Freda Payne, Haley Reinhart, Imelda May and many others. The MSO continues to record, with new music on the way.
As Goldblum himself has said, “Gosh, I go completely crazy sharing these fantastic tunes, but I have to tell you, I’m just as fascinated by the interesting people who show up for the live experience!” So, just for the record, he may get a little chatty.
This performance will feature Goldblum on piano, John Storie on guitar, Alex Frank on bass, Joe Bagg on organ, Scott Gilman and James King on saxophone, and Ryan Shaw on drums. Guest vocalist: Tawanda.
