Teatro Niccolini

An intimate evening of jazz, soul and world music with Caribbean-American singer-songwriter Amana Melomé, joined by special guest Joel Holmes on piano.

At Teatro Niccolini, Amana presents RECALIBRATED, a concert inspired by her latest album Recalibration and featuring songs from her previous works, weaving together original compositions with unexpected journeys into jazz and soul.

Her sound is born from the meeting of different worlds and cultures. Born in Germany and raised in several countries, Amana blends jazz, soul, folk and world music into a distinctive style, deeply connected to her family’s musical heritage. Her grandfather, Jimmy Woode, played bass in the Duke Ellington Orchestra and performed with artists including Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and Sarah Vaughan.

After the albums Indigo Red, Phoenix Rising and Lock & Key, numerous tours in Italy and abroad, and a break dedicated to motherhood and visual art, Amana returned to music with Recalibration, a new work shaped by reflection, personal transformation and a renewed creative vision.

Joining her as special guest is American pianist and composer Joel Holmes.
