Yuanfan Yang comes to Teatro Niccolini for a concert that moves between the great piano repertoire, composition and improvisation.
A pianist, composer and improviser, Yuanfan Yang is establishing himself as one of the most distinctive voices on the international piano scene. He has received more than 30 international awards and has performed with orchestras including the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. His videos have reached millions of views, building a social media community of nearly 50,000 followers.
At Teatro Niccolini, he will present a programme ranging from Brahms, Rachmaninoff and Debussy to his own compositions, alongside one of the most distinctive elements of his performances: live improvisation.
The audience will be invited to suggest themes, melodies and musical styles, which Yuanfan will transform into music on the spot, making each improvisation a unique and unrepeatable moment.
