The Performance

Magic and fantasy are at the heart of the story, and the production brings this world to life through constantly changing scenery and striking visual effects. Combined with evocative video projections, the staging transports the audience from violent snowstorms and the Northern Lights to the thousand colours of flowers and breathtaking journeys through dense Nordic forests. Music also plays a central role in the performance, with songs composed especially for the production and woven into the story itself.

The female protagonist is not a little princess waiting for her Prince Charming, but a determined and courageous girl who is ready to fight and take risks to save her beloved friend Kaj. She is a modern heroine in whom today’s young girls can recognise themselves. At the heart of the story is the power of emotions, above all love, as a driving force in the formation of identity. This is set against the temptation to lose oneself in the world of dreams, the brute force that ultimately oppresses even those who wield it, and the coldness of the heart that leaves us unable to face life’s challenges.

The production offers different levels of interpretation. Its strong visual and sensory appeal makes it accessible even to younger children, while its ethical themes engage older audiences and encourage both personal and shared reflection.
