Our concert programme certainly reflects what people have always needed, perhaps even more so in a world marked by fragmentation, war, stress, hatred and environmental problems. We want to offer the opposite. And after all, what singer or musician would not want that? At the same time, we believe that our programme stands out for its particular sense of unity and for its emphasis on wholeness and integration.
Swedish tenor Michael Axelsson sings in both Swedish and Italian, accompanied by Italian pianist Paola Alessandra Troili from Bologna.
He performs each piece in both languages, with the exception of the song A Bee or Not a Bee?, which is performed in English. Before each performance, the lyrics of the songs are also recited by Swedish composer Lennart Westman.
