One hundred years after the birth of Turandot, a special event pays tribute to the final opera by Giacomo Puccini, left unfinished and still enveloped today in a unique aura of fascination.
“100 Years of Turandot – The Never-Ending Fairytale” is a musical and narrative journey through the history of the opera, from its origins in Carlo Gozzi’s fairy tale to the famous ending suspended between interpretations and mystery.
On stage, a cast of performers bringing together voice, storytelling, and movement:
Katerina Kotsou and Bei Bei Li, sopranos
Davide Piaggio, tenor
Francesco Barbagelata, conductor
Marco Lombardi, narrator
Qing Li, choreography
Jean Paul Carradori, lighting, video, and direction
An evening that is not just a concert, but an experience: a journey through music and storytelling that restores all the evocative power of Turandot, making it accessible even to those encountering opera for the first time.
